Lot Sizing MRP
Using Space Age Furniture’s Master Schedule and their policy of producing sub-assemblies in lots of 1000, a Materials Required Planning (MRP) system can be developed. Production processes can create XXX (Vonderembse & White, 2013). Breaking down the MRP into Levels sees the Master Schedule as XXX. The sub-assembly MRPs in Level 1 are organized using a lot sizing method due to Space Age’s policy of 1000 sized lots on orders. Further, the Level 1 MRPs are separated by the 435 sub-assembly and the 257 sub-assembly but both funnel into the gross requirements for Level 2.
