Project 10-3: Basic Intrusion Detection Program
- 1. Attacker 3.0 is a free tool from McAfee. Please search for Attacker using your browser search box. Select the result for McAfee web site & download the software.
- 2. Extract the files and launch Attacker.exe.
- 3. Click Ports to see a list of the TCP and UDP ports that Attacker is listening on. Click OK.
- 4. Click Start to begin listening for incoming requests or data. How secure is it to know that this program will only respond after an attack begins?
- 5. Close all windows when finished.
